Police Raid Colonie Hotel in Search for McDonald's Robbery Suspect
Colonie Police and Saratoga County Sheriff's Deputies raided the Econo Lodge Inn Suites in Colonie on Saturday night as part of the search for Joseph Hess.
Joseph Hess, 32, of Frankfurt, NY, is accused of robbing a 76-year-old woman at the McDonald's parking lot in Ballston on Thursday. According to Saratoga County Sheriff's Deputies, Hess stole the woman's pocketbook and then ran over her with his car, leaving her with compound leg fractures.
- The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment.
- Police were searching for Hess at the Econo Lodge on Saturday night.
SWAT was heard over the loudspeaker calling out Hess's name and telling him to come out with his hands up.
