Meteorologist Belle Oliver is tracking waves of rain and thunderstorms Sunday ahead of a passing cold front.
Clouds will begin to build tonight as the system continues to push eastward. Temperatures will remain mild in the low 60s, with breezy conditions and sustained southerly winds between 10-15 mph. Wind gusts up to 25-30 mph are possible, with some locations under a wind advisory due to gusts up to 40 mph or greater.
A line of thunderstorms will enter the Cumberland Plateau as early as daybreak Sunday morning. The rain will continue to push eastward through the morning hours, lasting until around lunchtime, bringing a "heavy soaking" type of rain for the day.
